The primary goals for the launch of the Bones Protocol are to ensure a 100% free (no premine), fair, and broad distribution of the base tokens ($BONE) to organic and active community members, and to onboard new participants into the ecosystem of crypto assets on Dogecoin L1 through familiar trading mechanisms, particularly Automated Market Making (AMM).

To achieve this, $BONE will be launched in its non-fungible form, wrapped into Bonestone NFTs. This approach allows the community to mint Bonestone NFTs for free and, upon the protocol's launch, unwrap them to obtain $BONE. Bonestones will be available in a free and public mint.

It is scheduled to start at a block to be announced between October 22nd and 25th 2024 and will last for 10,080 blocks (approximately seven days). Please check the announcements on X. Participants can inscribe a delegation inscription based on a forthcoming parent inscription of Bonestone #1.
